Our team at Future Ready Five is thrilled to announce that our Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative (KRC) program has been featured on NBC4.
The news feature titled Columbus-funded Kindergarten Prep Organization Paying Dividends on Children’s Learning, highlights the impact kindergarten readiness has in determining children’s future successes, and how our winter screening results are a testament to the effectiveness of our program.
65%
of children in Franklin County are not scoring as kindergarten-ready on the Ohio KRA-R.
“Under normal circumstances, what you would see over a year-long period of an intervention that’s really effective in literacy, you’d see a 20 to 40% gain in literacy scores,” said CEO, Mario Basora. In three months, students in (the KRC) program saw a 76.6% increase in literacy scores. Additionally, there was a 286% increase in children scoring advanced on the BRIGANCE® assessment.
“I have no doubt that when our children leave here, they are going to be ready for kindergarten.”
– Rae Stewart, Owner & Director of Little Incredibles Learning Center,
Participant in our Kindergarten Readiness Collaborative
